Last weekend, Nana and Auntie Lala brought us some good eats for Easter, and then we never stopped eating. We began the week with a dinner picnic in the backyard.
On Tuesday, we made an afterschool bike trip around Riverfront Park and had a picnic on City Island.
The Easter Bunny was well-received at their school and, during the car ride home, they feasted on the chocolate from their classroom egg hunts.
They happily opened Easter cards from Nana and Auntie Lala.
And visited with Grandma Deanna, who brought them more incredible goodies.
On Easter morning, the bunny left ponies for Finn and Thea.
And kidsized sterling silverware.
Later, Thea yelled “it’s snowing outside, Momma”, and I found them at the door, marveling at the windblown cherry blossom petals that had swirled over from our neighbor’s yard and covered our driveway.
We went to Nonna’s and Baba’s house for more Easter festivities.
And Thea seemed mildly disappointed there was no chocolate in these eggs; only finger puppets and ladybug wind-up toys… but Finn was thrilled!
Nonna and Joanne made us a wonderful dinner, filled with Thea’s and Finn’s delights, including peep cupcakes!
They colored and stickered some eggs.
And during the car ride home, they dozed and read new books from Joanne.
And then rallied to help Jason with the Turfbuilder and blow bubbles, in the backyard.
And then we went inside to eat some more Easter candy.
