There were lots of Springtime goodies in store for us this week. We had our first mornings of slathering on sunscreen before going to school. We wore short sleeves on most of the days. Thea gave me a tutorial on how she strategically waves over the shrubbery, when I drive by the window of the pre-K classroom after dropping her off at school.
Finn put on his best fireman jammies to show off his soccer skills.
They shared Highlights Hello stories.
The food trucks were back for Third in the Burg.
And we cooled off with ice cream from Urban Churn at the Broad Street Market.
Finn found the goats brought by a vendor to promote their goat milk soap bars.
In Little Scholar at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore, we ran into one of Thea’s classmates and her mom.
On Saturday morning, while Jason and Finn went swimming, Thea and I visited the West Shore Farmer’s Market… and especially the incredible candy counter.
Later in the day, I over reacted to a tick bite on Finn but, at the urgent care, he enjoyed playing with the stirrups on the examination table while we waited for the doctor.
Thea officially outgrew her toddler bed, and she and Finn played possum in her new (to her) twin bed… and then jumped on it a little, for good measure.
On Sunday morning, they had a picnic breakfast.
And then a dance party.
Camp Hill Parks & Rec hosted a kite festival and provided pre-made kites for the children to color and fly.
Thea flew her kite.
Finn flew his kite!
And we found Thea’s friend Jaxon and his mom, and flew kites some more!
We paid a visit to The State Museum.
And walked around the Greek Festival for a little while… Opa!
They wound down their day with a few specialty jumps from the toybox.
It has been a good week!
