She lost her first tooth and went to Lake Tobias! Both experiences began with some trepidation and ended with a proud little girl.
Her summer camp planned a field trip to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park, and I wondered how she would do with the animals. Jason took the day off work and went along, just in case.
Apparently she did okay. Except, the goats in the petting zoo were a little overbearing (there are no pictures of that experience).
The summer camp teachers were especially pleased to have Jason along on the trip. The following day, they posted this picture with a thank you message.
On Saturday, we went to our favorite former neighbors’ incredible pirate themed birthday party. It was as Pinterest-perfect and fun as a child’s party can be. “Arr… I’m 4,” Gavin’s tee shirt read (as Thea squinted against the sun).
Finn walked the plank.
Thea did too.
They tossed water balloons…
Pinned the eye patch on the pirate…
And Thea wailed away at the pirate pinata.
They even dug for buried treasure.
Later, Jason and I made it to Alvaro’s to celebrate our eighth anniversary!
And the next morning, Thea danced and crooned.
While Finn found a sunbeam.
We went to the swimming pool…
And suddenly Thea was missing her first baby tooth!
But it didn’t keep her from intense snacking during the 4 p.m. safety check.
Jaxon pushed little Finn around in the float.
And Finn rejoiced when his pal Livvie finally arrived.
Thea did, too.
And we grudgingly said goodbye to the weekend.
