Here’s Thea as a deceptively sleeping newborn.
By her first birthday, we kind of knew what she was up to.
By her second, she’d pulled in a couple of accomplices and they’re still close pals.
Soon after, Finn came into the picture. This is the moment when she first met him.
They haven’t stopped talking since.
By her third birthday, he’d become her sidekick.
And they’ve been in total cahoots since four.
Which brings us to her birthday today: Number five! On Thursday, a special package arrived from Mary, including Elsa stickers and Star Wars goodies. There was a set of forks: “May the Forks be with you.”
A gift card from Nana and Auntie Lala. “Daddy. When will we do shopping?”
There was a Darth Vader birthday cake.
During her celebratory lunch at Friendly’s with Nonna and Baba.
Thea seemed to enjoy the cake.
When we arrived home, there was a card from Aunt Dana in the mailbox. Five one-dollar bills! “They’re just what I need,” she exclaimed!
And then we had a little celebratory hair coloring done.
On Sunday, we went to Knoebel’s Amusement Park with Nonna and Baba and some friends.
There was a ferris wheel!
And a carousel.
We said our “see you soons”.
The sign of a successful adventure.
