On Saturday morning, we woke to a snow-covered neighborhood.
The kids were eager to try their new “Lightning Thea” and “Fast Finn” sleds…
And soon, we ‘took to the slopes’! There’s a small hill next to our house, just steep enough to get some speed. Jason has dubbed this “Robinson Hill”.
We only last about 20 minutes in the cold, each time we go, and there’s lots of cocoa-drinking afterwards.
Jason resurrected the karaoke machine I bought him for our first Valentine’s Day.
Grandma Deanna visited and brought lots of exciting goodies!
The kids immediately wanted to paint the little ornament crafts she’d brought for them.
We made Robinson Royal crowns to usher in the New Year.
While unpacking, Jason came across my old magnetic poetry words, and Thea sounded them out as she placed them on the fridge.
Finn drew me a puppy picture.
And, on New Year’s Day, we didn’t brave the cold to watch the Penguin Plunge, but we were very happy when Jason came home after doing his River Rescue duty there.
Look who’s home!
Happy New Year!
